We are a Social impact startup,working in the area of Pooja waste disposal management and production of Upcycled handicrafts.
Most of us have often seen,discarded pooja waste material like idols and clothes lying near a river or under a tree in and around our cities.So to eradicate this soil and water pollution,we encourage people to collect their pooja waste and give it to us.We clean and segregate material according to its constituents,size and colour.Thereafter our team of designers plan out the designs of handicraft items that can be made from these waste materials.Once a design is finalised ,we hand it over to rural women associated with us for production of similar items.These women take the material and prepare the items from their home,giving them the flexibility of working hours and a WORK FROM HOME environment.
Once the items are prepared we circulate them on our social media handles and website,so that people can see and buy accordingly.This cycle fulfils many goals like :
- Pooja waste does not lands in rivers,restricting water pollution.
- Pooja waste does not add to land fills.
- Employment is generated for women and leads to skill development.
- An awareness is spread amongst the society regarding proper management of pooja waste.
- Recycling and Upcycling becomes popular,which is the need of the hour.
Our aim is to make our society ZEROWASTE and maximise the process of upcycling .The most important part of this initiative is to spread awareness for recycling and upcycling amongst all segments of the society.
